Women's league hearthstone lmfaoooooo

Women’s chess leagues are surprisingly uncontroversial in the chess world

Nigel short made very sexist remarks about the things you’re talking about being not at all gender specific and got very little backlash for it

Nigel’s the original altright

In fact it’s kind of interesting because there’s a valid argument/theory that men are in fact inflated

There was top chess grandfemalemaster who was very, very mad in a tournament that she was matched exclusively against women players of similar rating (she thought it was a sexism thing but likely it was just randomness at work) because the men players of similar rating were weaker

I dont really know because I’m not a top chess grandmaster (It’s still true that the very, very best were always men) but I think it’s widely accepted that the gap in womens vs mens ratings is in fact largely created by women mostly playing each other for many years and there being a smaller pool of women to play in (thus less inflation over time)

That was very tournament specific if I recall. It was an allegation about bracket rigging, you can’t assume that’s commonplace

Keep in mind Nigel Short is also a verified retard based on the fact that he claimed to have played a Secret Online Match against Fischer (it was somebody using a chess engine on the internet and there was no reason to believe it was fischer except some retarded conspiracy theory short came up with - fischer did not even play chess at that point, he was too busy naming the jew and praying for a second 9/11)

I mean the things he’s saying are things we’re all saying - that there are biological differences in muscle and brain development between genders - but it’s said by a demonstrable retard and the things he is saying around the statement should be extremely suspect.

In Short, there are multiple factors at play and it’s a complicated situation

Also just got to the point where the female TV host says “you were recently defeated by Judit Polgar - did she bring her man brain that day?” Got a good laugh out of that

He’s one of the best players of all time wtf

Came very close to taking the world champion title

Good chess brain =/= good critical thinking brain W.R.T. shit like the above topics… as evidenced by his numerous instances of retarded public statements

Worth questioning I guess if there’s a higher tendency among top-rated chess players to spout inane conspiracy theories

Fischer’s 9/11 reaction was legendary

I’ve always been a huge Fischer fan - not necessarily of the chess, but of the other stuff

Critical thinking goes hand in hand with chess…it doesn’t tend to confirm popular opinion…that’s what critical thinking gives you

No. Critical thinking in Chess doesn’t always translate to critical thinking outside of Chess.

Just like in any other situation where people with highly specialized knowledge succeed.

Chess is definitely not a measurement of intelligence. @TreeWonSevin would know.

Yes it is.
