i agree im not gonna be some psycho that forces them to be a doctor and play cello or someshit but i want to at least try to have a good framework in place to help direct them towards a better peer group and healthier pastimes.

i have seen the test scores for the public elementary school I went to and it's become basically two normal distributions with little to no overlap.
like the stuff you worry about in america is a 2nd grader coming to school and accidently shooting themselves in the bathroom
absolutely insane.
it probably is slightly better in canada but the north has still has a lot of issues. my sister has worked as a child protection social worker and there's still alarming high rates of neglect, fasd, etc... it's quite segregated though. educated white people go to different schools and live in different areas. it's sad
