if Trudeau had any balls he'd tell the Saudis to go fuck themselves and send the 100s of modern APCs to Ukraine free of charge (or at least heavily discounted) instead. we have some massive deal in place to sell them infantry carriers which they are using to genocide the Yemenis. I think we should literally tell them to eat shit. I think it's entirely reasonable to back out of the deal on ethical/moral grounds and keep the units we haven't sent already, keep their money, and send the vehicles to Ukraine. I'm sure there was a clause in the deal somewhere about not literally using them to commit genocide (I fucking hope so..). They've literally been using them to commit atrocities for 5ish years now. idk. We'd need the Americans blessing. We're not dependant on the Saudis for oil either, 66% of our oil comes from the good old Americans. I think it would be good for a minor country to stick it to the Saudis, I'd love for it to be us. They need to have their ego put in check.
