the persians reportedly strapped cats to their shields and threw them towards the egyptians, whose reverence of bastet forbid killing any cats or you would be damned for eternity in the afterlife. the persians would have likely won regardless as their military was more advanced and experienced while the egyptians were mostly still stuck in the bronze age. interesting tid bit related to Zcrispy posting lil pooty dressed up in cuties

Could be a sample thing, 10ks an ok amount but the area and populace might matter and I’m not gonna check on the phone. I think maybe the economy looking more and more bleak in the past year has led to people feeling more and more mixed about aid. Maybe general concerns over our governments incompetence when it comes to spending as handing out stuff has probably caused the current economic climate thanks to inflation. Maybe people have no attention span and have mentally dropped the Ukraine conflict toy for the Gaza toy. But it’s probably not nothing. The graphs are spooky lookin
yeah well I hope people don't stop supporting Ukraine. Also of all the money your govt. has spent, this money you're spending on Ukraine is the best investment you've ever made in terms of roi and what's it is costing Russia. The things you're sending them are literally tipping the balance of the war (himars, and javelins early on. not to mention the intelligence which is probably the #1 thing)
I don't see how one could argue that money was wasted

im a big ukraine supporter but i dont really blame people for not loving it. sounds terrible but you could argue the best investment we could be making would involve securing our economic power, funding local manufacturing, fixing the education system and paying teachers, etc. when people feel stretched thin and see that stuff (and on a recurring basis aswell) it's hard to get excited about a lack of local development. atleast it's the most visible aspect of funds being spent when in reality it is just a very small fraction compared to the waste iceberg
