The problem with the Trumpian take on the media as fake and lies is it leaves it at that. It makes no effort to understand the media further and understand its problems and their causes. Hint: it is not evil liars or even incompetence. With an understanding, you can engage media and be wary of what you are looking at and judge accordingly. What the "lies" and "fake news" approach does is just give people license to conveniently reject evidence from media even if your reason for doing so is not good enough.

NYT does BIAS the people reading it.... to be against trump, more LGBTQ inclusive, nicer to women, etc. I'm not sure I see much of the evil stuff NYT is biasing people towards but I'd love for you to tell me
I've read too much stuff about "Gay propaganda" and "Trans propaganda" coming from trumpists to think that their problem with NYT is some deep seated systemic brainwashing issue, especially considering the fact they usually consume FOX themselves, or even worse, conservative podcasters/youtubers/grifters like Tim Pool
