Would you have preferred Bernie over Biden?
It's not even close to comparable compared to the issues of imperialism and capitalism. I'm not going to give the Dems my endorsement of continuing to pivot right based on the mishandling of COVID because the damage is already so widespread that I don't see what Biden getting elected would do to substantially fix it (though you're right that if Hillary been elected we probably wouldn't be at this point)
Yeah, I would have
Ok I guess I get your point in better now
Yeah, it's not a refusal to vote. It's a refusal to vote for someone like Biden
It's really sad how the fucking DNC have had years to lick their chops and learn from the outcome of the last election, and instead they went right back to choosing an establishment corporate/centrist democrat that nobody likes to be their standard bearer lol
He keeps saying "but COVID!" which is completely irrelevant to the point I made.
It's not irrelevant to MY point which is that Biden the better choice, and worth voting for
also that Trump is so repugnant that another 4 years of him will be horrifying
better for COVID and better for climate change, both of which you admit
and the same as Trump for imperialism, according to you? so what exactly would somebody have to do to warrant your precious vote exactly? those are two MASSIVE issues
what about the collective mental health of the entire world? having to deal with Trump's constant bullshit is a strain on pretty much everybody outside of his cult
Okay, but based on the past four years you KNOW it's not a priority for Trump, actually the opposite he is accelerating it and deregulating where he can
You have one guy who MIGHT do good things regarding climate change, is making campaign pledges about doing said good things, and another who's taking a giant dump on the planet
Why is this not a no brainer?
I also think diplomacy between world leaders does matter and in an age where every world power has nukes having somebody as stupid. narcissistic and arrogant as Trump being the commander in chief of the most powerful nation on earth...... doesn't seem like a good thing
Also do you still honestly believe the Russian collusion story is bullshit and nothing? Because it's fucking not
this is a good policy
ill vote for whichever presidential candidate pledges to donate more nukes to the black community
We thank you for your continued support
It's really sad that the DNC does anything to hand-pick a person.
Let the will of the people decide.
I'm not sure exactly where the line should be drawn regarding a political party's ability to choose their preferred avatar outside of purely democratic means.
They probably should have some degree of influence except in this case it becomes problematic due to the almost monolithic central power a limited two party system enjoys.
Maybe we need to get rid of the notion of a singular president and adopt a swiss style federal shadow council.
A big maybe
Nah, I'd argue worse
You've missed the point. There is not a significant enough difference for me to allow my vote to count towards the statistical analysis the Dems run that allow them to continue shifting right
Lmao and capitalist bullshit isn't?
No, my stance has always been that it's a useless distraction because nothing will come of it. Political capital that should've been spent elsewhere
And they know your vote represents certain policies how?
Nevermind I could see that working based on your other votes.
Still seems to have been a useless endeavor. I would love to see any indication that withholding votes has moved policy.
