Yeah I mean it’s part of why I find the annoyance in the amount of political spam that comes my way annoying. All the messaging is about how everyone needs to pitch in and make a difference. But that’s all delusions

Americans take primaries for granted. Parties in a parliament pick their leader in completely undemocratic ways the world over yet Americans still jerk off to them because they ostensibly have more than 2 parties.

They actually don't matter. The state delegates are not obligated to act on the results when they vote at the convention, they just usually do.
Actually, Mike Pence as VP has the power to unilaterally discard the elector's votes and refuse to certify the election.

There's a debate as to what facets of Russia are better than the US, and vice versa, but there's no debate at all as to Russia being better than Canada.

This guy incorrectly pronounced the word "quixotic"
Which is embarrassing to begin with as failure to understand its pronunciation implies failure to understand its meaning since the word's pronunciation is so identifiable with its origin when pronounced correctly
But especially embarrassing because he's a newscaster and the whole point of his job is to pronounce words
And the most embarrassing part about all of this is that I googled the word to see its pronunciation before posting and the official pronunciation is actually the way he said it
Which is just embarrassing for American culture & language as a whole.
