OK just got home here's what I'm seeing
You guys know each other's behavior and continue interacting with each other for years and years on the forum. At this point it's on you (nyte) if Jones makes some ridiculous threat. You are choosing to PM him and talk about shit and you know how he is. And it's on Jones if you send Nyte your GF's instagram (lmao) and then freak out because you think she's going to contact her
I don't believe either person has malicious intentions. I believe both threatened each other (maybe accidentally)/felt threatened and then acted out. I don't believe either is actually a liferuin serial killer or whatever (right now).
Here is what happened. Jones was trying to joke with Nyte about sending NMA pictures of Nyte. Nyte presumably didn't like feeling like her boundaries/privacy are being tested by somebody who she, at some point, send naked pictures to. She tries to make a joke about sending NMA pictures of Jones's ex-gf, who Jones for some reason willingly supplies pictures and contact info of. Probably to highlight how Jones's first joke wasn't funny to her and made her uncomfortable. Jones, predictably, feels uncomfortable with this joke and actually reads it as a threat to contact her and "expose" him. He then flips out and makes some threat about Nyte's sister (trying to say - don't fuck with my personal life, I'll fuck with yours).
All of this could be solved by either of these people having any ability to understand each other in the conversation, being less willing to contact each other and joke about things that make each other uncomfortable, or just being more normal.
But I feel this is just stuff you guys do because it's who you are. So - carry on as you were.

That's not to say that people posting repeated threats/harassment (like jones has in the past) won't be moderated
It's just that in this situation you both were completely socially incompetent, stuck your feet in a bees nest, and then ran to moderators/the public to complain. Good job! Now that I've helped you understand each other maybe you can talk it out and make up!

If you don't want Jones to say some dumb shit about your sister why not just stop interacting with him? Stop PMing him, playing dota games with him, associating with him in general. He has been this person for 10 years and you continually choose to put yourself in situations where you are the target of this behavior.
Do you understand how your comment made him feel threatened and react in a way that wasn't appropriate? I'm not saying you're accountable for his reaction. But I am saying this isn't the same as his harassment years ago. This is like if you choose to go hang out with and sleep next to a homeless drug addict on the street and you wake up and your shoes are stolen and he's taken your money to go buy drugs. He's not acting like this across the forum, he said something dumb in a PM message after he thought you said you're contacting his ex-GF.
Do you expect people to help you while you start fights with everyone and call the people who are supposed to be helping you dumb pieces of shit? Does that seem like a nice way to interact with your friends on the internet?
Believe it or not Nyte people here actually have a lot of good will toward you. You could just be nice and talk about issues you're having with us. You don't have to call people names.
For example I just talked through what I think.
Obviously if you don't agree, you think something different. Maybe you see the facts differently.
You could just talk about what you are seeing differently from me without insulting me. If you do the latter but not the former it doesn't help either of us resolve anything.
I would even be fine with explaining yourself but keeping the insults. That would be on-par with basically everybody else's interactions with each other on the forum (including mine with any moderator I don't agree with)

it's very awkward because of the amount of information i have that very few other people have wrt to the members of this forum. you disgustingly want to view this as some "that's just how you are" from your little illusion of a bubble, as if you don't share some other connections which make you a very biased "moderator" when little to no one else is aware of these dynamics. it's disgusting. the fact that you can read through multiple iterations of harassment - that i raise hell over repeatedly - and somehow say i'm fine with this, and i am "threatening" him by expressing that i'm going to NOTIFY IMPORTANT PARTIES is just mind boggling.

and you insinuating otherwise is a fucking bullshit narrative because you are operating under the premise that you think i deserve these things, and you're too lazy (read: convinced) to actually look into what's happening with any other approach. i personally am beyond offended that you specifically treat me this way - but that is what it is. i more or less accept it - other than i think with the escalated nature of jones it's actually fucking atrocious that you use this personal vendetta to excuse his actions, and basically validate his harassment as a result.
