smart people are smart. good at their job people are good at their job, past a certain age it stops mattering
anyone who lacks “experience” can be brought up to speed extremely quickly if they are smart and good at learning
"experience" is just a euphemism for "been in the system long enough to have enough clout among other old people in the system because they still value relative familiarity"
