I really enjoyed taking their social media political quizzes. They were hysterical. I remember one asked if I thought Abe was a secret leftist.

I guess it's probably limited to other western nations.
All the Euros I spoke with last year were intimately familiar with a lot of things like supreme court nominations. Some of them were even ride or die Trump supporters lol.
I had to wave some of em off because I didn't want to talk about politics while I was on vacation.
Yeah it probably has to do with how engaged they are in politics in general. Finding a Japanese person that gave a shit about politics was extremely rare for me.
