@magicmagininja @sdadasdas @wolfy @Osiris what are your thoughts on Ian?
@iaafr I'd like your thoughts on Ian, wolfy, and sdad

I'll only answer this if Wolfy asks me
jk i think hes sus cuz he opened up with a clumsy dumbtell. I disagree with you on thinking hes sus cuz of placing both wolfy and me as town; i can see someone doing that as town. Lord knows its happened enough.
I had no opinion on him townreading you. I have an opinion on him townreading wolfy and scumreading me while explicitly stating he had no reason why.
If wolfy is town, it seems like an easy pocket of wolfy, since no one else was defending him and as town he'd actually be just frustrated and upset. It seems like a good way to lynch two town and have an out when people sus your involvement.
Calling out the "because you aren't towntelling" reply to "why are you reading town as scum" as a scumslip is just poor, scummy behavior. I used to do this shit all the time as scum: push someone for some pedantic reason based on a slight miswording and get them lynched.
I did this exact shit to cc dendi and got him lynched in the two mafia factions and sk game with the bartender. It let the two mafia factions confirm each other and we would have won that, but @iaafr had random vigi shot cactus d1 and removed his mafia Don bulletproof, so our shooting him to try to get the solo win (needed him to not have bulletproof) lost us the game
Seems town'ish but I've gotten led astray repeatedly by Ian's casual d1 towntells
Oh nice you just scum told on purpose
That's okay then
I've also thought about doing this. Why'd you sus Ian for catching it though? I feel like if I acted scummy on purpose, I'd have townread the players catching onto it.
LOL
Literally throwing feelers out for lynches
Get the fuck out of here you ego inflated invertebrate
One by one
Uhhhhh hey guys are you with me on this do you think this ml is worth me pursuing
Ha ha ha ha
It wasn't on purpose. I realized as soon as I hit reply that, syntactically, it implied wolfy is town. I thought about adding a post to clarify, but wanted to wait. In context, it's clearly not acknowledging wolfy is town, but from a purely syntactical analysis, it does.
Relying on just syntactical slips with no semantic analysis is a common scum tactic to push a lynch on town for miswording a post when there was no real slip. Like I said, that was one of my most common tactics as scum. You just play wordgames to make others sus town, and it ends up frustrating that town, they act out, and you can push the lynch easily. It's very easy to do
Acknowledging he's town by verbage doesn't imply anything and anyone who suggests it does is Mafia because I acknowledge that what I said can be interpreted as scummy because I'm constantly thinking about how what I'm saying will be interpreted because I'm mafia

Yes, asking for reactions to who you sus is definitely not a way to get people to post and have reactions to read: it's just a way to feel out lynches. Your reactions to me lightly sussing you and throwing a lynch on for pressure are pretty fucking bad.
Note that when I asked magic for his response to my reads, how they aligned with mine and why were a reason for me to sus him. Getting reactions is how you scumhunt lmao
You're pinging various people simultaneously to ask how they feel about particular lynches
You can not claim scum harder than this
i dont think ian is mafia. i dont think he forces the ambiguous dumbtell on scum team without following it up, and i dont think antagonizing ewiz here is tactically sound on scum either.
wolffy's opening is weak and fillery but in itself its nai; the reaction ewiz got from him (anger) is considerably more suspicious when a "haha yep my opening is filler!" would have done just as well. plenty of people fos weak openings (possibly suboptimally); its not something to get mad over especially if you are prone to weak openings.
also i said this before but townreading wolffy for a weak opening (iaafr) is right out.
You obviously can't parse the argument, so I'll explain again. Purely syntactical things are rarely ever slips: they're artifacts of trying to make posts too quickly and . The semantics are what make things convincing as a slip. Pushing on purely syntactical things is a common scum tactic, because it looks somewhat convincing to undecided town.
It also tends to just frustrate the person you're pushing because it's just an issue of syntax, so those people typically get upset since it has no basis in actual meaning and they respond poorly. This is especially good to push lynches on hotheaded mafia players (I'd do this to dendi, Kyle, faz, and ironstove very frequently). I definitely have a rep as a hotheaded mafia player, and old me would have just flamed you and gotten angry about it. Not drinking has changed me a lot, I guess
