Carnival of Horrors Mafia Day 1

Eh, I thought this first two. I think it's because he's posting as he catches up.

He said he still had about 100 posts to read: at that point the only discussion was me vs. wolfy. I want his opinions after he finishes the rest. The griefing/anger that seems fake is reasonable to me.

What are some novel thoughts/reads on this game that you have? Particularly on @sdadasdas and @hbotz?

That's what TMI means. You're making up reasoning/have bad reasoning to justify a read on someone because you have the information to make that read as scum. And I repeatedly explained why your reasoning on ian is bad since iaafr brought it up.

Hbotz still hasn't put out a vote yet today which always makes me wary. He just comes off in a very premeditated tone to me that mskes sound points but never directs discussion @electrowizard

I'm null on iaafr, but if I were to scumread him, I think the reasoning is completely opposite. He isn't timid or meek: he's actually posting new reads with new reasonings that others haven't posted. He's shifting the train from ian/wolfy/me to magic/hbotz/you.

Now, if one of ian/wolfy is scum, this is a good way to protect them: he doesn't actually defend ian, just shifts focus away from him. He has repeatedly defended wolfy, so that could be a TMI townread, and he only started shifting the train once it moved from wolfy to ian.

Definitely possible there's an iaafr/ian team, but that only makes sense because iaafr is pushing train shifts, which is the opposite of meek/timid.

@SOPHIE is probably a safe lynch

I don't like this idea of safe lynches. I think we should lynch to get information based on interactions, because we get less information this game with the nominations of 3 being harder to parse (and may give no more info) than a night kill and we have no town prs. In a different set-up, safe lynches seem fine, but not in a low-info game.

And what about @sdadasdas?

I think it's true that he's not directing discussion, but dissenting could still be towny. Or it could be scummy if it's done because of TMI

I'm suggesting we try to pressure him so he posts more. 1 if not 2 scum is probably in the bottom 6 posters

hell, maybe even all 3

I agree we need him to post more.

you might not be accustomed to our usage of TMI (which faz and i introduced via mafiauniverse, i think)

TMI = leaking that you have knowledge of alignments (as scum or cop). if you were scum, that would mean your stance on ian might be indicative of having ian's alignment already. in general some archetypes of scum players have trouble not being correct on at least some things, and scum players who are particularly bad with TMI have trouble not helping town with town on town conflicts, because they imagine that's what they'd do as town.

wonder who the scum are gonna nom tonight

since when have you liked safe lynches

also who would you be voting if you knew i was town rn

Since I started playing on this site. I've advocated lynching among the low effort players since day 1

i guess that checks out with with asoul cop game but i feel like the way you sussed me in popcorn feels different from now and the timing of the epok pressure vote feels off

idk maybe im tunneling ill think on it more

My scum game both my allies wanted to afk (and did so to a certain degree), last game every scum was pretty much afk except Nyte (who also posted way less than usual).

There's very few posters who I think posts more when rolling scum after playing on this site.

Seems like most people play for the chance of basking in the glory of being "right". If they roll scum they feel like they're playing for nothing.
