From a scum perspective, I don't see what kind of motivation I could ever have there to remove a vote off a town/town or town/scum(hbotz) train when me voting Ian would be the most natural thing in the world

If both are town, then not lynching either looks better as scum, because you can say you weren't pushing a mislynch. If hbotz is your teammate, you look good because you had the opportunity to flip it onto ian and didnt' take it, letting you make this exact townclear argument that you're making. I've explained this.

Why doesn't this explain that?
