Why is it incorrect?
You canât use it as an adjective by itself.
You should Of used better grammar.
Your right. You canât use an adjective on itâs own.
You can, just not âaestheticâ.
maybe they mean ascetic
getting your dick chopped is maximally ascetic
Only real aesthetes can appreciate an uncut dick
Aesthetically, that is
Apparently you can though. That isnt how language works.
What you can and cannot do in language happens in the mind, not in the dictionaries and rule books.
There are certainly things you can and cannot do in English. e.g. Certain statuses cannot be expressed without a referentless pronoun (it is raining. what is âitâ?), you cannot phonologically begin a word with a velar nasal, etc.
The rule you are claiming cannot be broken is prescriptive. It is an artificial rule. The usage that is bothering you is as natural as sleeping and eating. It is what humans do with words.
It bothers me when people put so much stock in artificial rules, even though they do have a place in the world. This isnt the place.
Itâs like ebonics
Itâs not any sort of codified rule. Saying âthis Box is aestheticâ is just incorrect.
It is not like ebonics at all.
Theyâre both incorrect - and both natural
Example: This vaporwave album cover is aesthetic
Sorry that just isnt how language works.
It is very very obviously just an âevolutionâ (donât want to call it that really) of âaesthetically pleasingâ
Iâd say itâs fine now from 2017- since everyone co-opts the term to mean vaporwave, it is still a very clumsy word to choose for that shit.
Nobody wants to say âaesthetically pleasingâ it just makes you sound like a virgen.
it was fine the moment people began using and understanding it.that way
(^o^)
