Namekill should be: Unlimited namekills at any time per player
When you fail a namekill you lose the ability to namekill any more
Could also have it announced to the thread when you fail a namekill

I think 1 shot die on fail is better than playing a guessing game
If its just a guessing game people are gonna make shitty super cryptic posts, town kill town always, etc. doesn't sound like a good comp time

nor of limiting the shots. Basically the entire motivation of including namekill mechanic is that people should be afraid of exposing their name/just playing as themselves the entire game. It reinforces anonymity
You don't want people guessing willy-nilly but town typically shouldn't guess unless they BOTH know who the player is AND know that player is scum
The real threat is mafia figuring out names and killing all at once, in which case maybe the mechanic should be that mafia collectively (as a team) has infinite namekill power but loses it after guessing wrong
