The bridge between Detroit and Windsor has duty free store right there on the Canadian side.

I contacted a company in Canada to see if it can be done like that. It's a pain easiest way is to have my buddy bring it or I get a mailbox in Buffalo go there and bring it back myself

BTW I didn't drink the VO. I sold it for a profit because it was way more expensive in the US and I was a poor ass college kid.
Never did smuggle Cuban cigars though. But I was tempted.
I used to go over to windsor occasionally for work and a friend would always ask to grab him some cigars. massive selection of booze too only place i've been with more is total wine
i haven't been in a while i forget if the tunnel or bridge shop is better
I only used the tunnel to go to bachelor parties. The tunnel takes you right to the strip clubs.
oh yea i remember seeing a lot of 19 year olds going over to booze and piss their money away in the casinos

yea the place itself isn't bad. it's a big vice city because of american kids coming over to booze and gamble but it's not dangerous and they have plenty of jobs there. it's no toronto or anything but the cost of living is actually affordable
@KrazyKat when did you leave detroit? it's probably gotten quite a bit nicer. it still sucks to get around on foot and i would stay the hell away from westside but downtown and some of the close suburbs have started coming back

Only got mugged once, but I was walking alone after dark south of six mile alone so I got what I deserved.
Downtown was coming back when I was there.
I miss Greektown. Nothing like that here in Texas.

Yea there are still areas you don't want to be walking after dark especially if you're alone. I'm not a casino guy but did go to greektown twice this year for dinner after tiger's games. Went down to the dia for the van gogh exhibit and the riverwalk as well. It still catches a bad rep but it's pretty standard for a us city and has a lot of history. plus we have 24 hour greek conies, it sucks when the only thing open late is mcdonalds
i remember the riverwalk in san antonio being pretty nice when my family went down there for a wedding. the alamo was kind of cool too
