and i dont know what you mean about not seeing people in lane, the lane phase is very heavy on fighting when i play
I havent actually played the game I'm just writing nonsense
Isn't your best bet farming the creeps and not trading too much with the opponent because really your focus in that stage of the game is collecting as many souls as possible so you can stomp people later
The games you did play in garbanzo elo aren’t reflective of real gameplay atleast. Watch a stream or ingame
Tf2 definitely had superior design in terms of recognizability, but it was also a bleak landscape for character design in a team shooter before TF2 came around
its like dota, if youre playing yamato yeah you want to just farm, you can sort of fight early but youre better off getting a couple core items then jumping on people. some characters are lane winners but fall off later on
characters like haze and seven want to just farm up and be top networth and stomp on people later
i think they kind of designed the game to remove the pos 5 support role and instead its basically a game of like pos 1/2/3 and a couple characters could fall into pos 4 but even those can honestly go between pos 2/3/4 pretty easily depending on what items you want to build and how hard you win your lane
I dont think shooters should be designed like dota
And its not like dota because dota actually has items with major impact on the way you play - your hero before and after blink dagger, completely different hero
This game every purchased upgrade is just % increase to either outgoing damage or your ability to be a bullet sponge
It's dull design.
uhh echo shard hello?
it does feel like allowing people to get many more items of different sorts that build into other items without that flow being as visible/intuitive as it is in like dota just sucks. like feels like a lot of bloat to manage when the item system could've probably started a little simpler and then grew in complexity
i get "people want to buy out so we need components" but this feels like a lot of creep/bloat
its interesting to see my league friends get into the game and come to conclusions that are natural to a dota player like "there is no fixed build, it varies a lot from game to game. lots of items you'll need to counter etc"
theres a decent amount of actives and if you play certain characters you build movement speed which changes how the character plays
for example i spam mo and krill and build movement speed items and max my burrow and this makes me zoom across the map at ridiculous speeds and jump on top of people
but yes, dota does have items that are definitely more game changing, like blink dagger, or orchid for certain heroes, or bloodstone etc. idk the game is good you should give it a shot
is this game worth my time as someone who loved dota and cs? it has the potential to be perfect for me
dont want to waste time on a bad game
is there anything resembling a support role?
how do you win, just shooting at buildings?
i should really just watch a stream or something but idk
I'm about to play my first game. Everybody is invited
I like the queue system. Pick 3 heroes (by order of priority) and it will assign you one
