Ok? So irrelevant
If you want to play like that, buy 5 barbies
it would probably be an f
It's not irrelevant, you would know this if you read my post.
What you did is an instant game loss theoretically, you can't get by being the "troll ruiner" who always plays the lowest % plays forever.
Players on this forum can only give you so many chances.
Thing is if he isn't instant lyched on this forum then it is actually good play on this forum. People give sub-optimal play a lot of leeway because so many town players play sub-optimally so it blends in
I don't condone development and encouragement of bad habits, no matter their short term benefits or localized advantages.
i had a problem with stuff like this with people refusing to read pm's in the past. creates a pointless leveling game where eventually no reads their pm if they want the 'highest ev'
role pm to be clear
The problem isn't people playing bad (griefing), it's the "good" players refusing to lynch the griefers because they TR them for it or have some hare-brained "gutread" which usually amounts to "I don't want to get outplayed by this high-effort player who is playing the game properly"
If you want to see a good example of this check the last real game Nyte played.
If you don't lynch people for grief play (TR them for it or just let it slide) of course they will do so because it's an easy way to play as mafia. It's perfect: Destabilize/contribute nothing to town and still don't get lynched for it.
This is why I run setups with extra killpower (or other mechanics that incentivize towntelling)
you win by voting the mafia out not voting out bad players
Completely missed the point
No. It's the good players refusing to stoop down to the level of mud sports and septic tanks that the griefers try to set as a standard.
You misunderstand what's happening.
I'll just say it differently that instead of running games that require town to be reasonable and collaborate with each other (not that likely on this forum), run setups that reward players for looking like town. Gunsmith, doctor, even cop, it comes down to you actually get benefits/more power in the game if you towntell & work with other players and even mafia will try to do so to seize that power.
An eye for an eye and the world goes blind.
I misunderstand? I'm currently the only player on the forum with an S in all levels of singleplayer mafia so I think I know what I'm talking about.
I understand what you mean when you say use your voting or kill power to kick out problem players but that's just a bandaid to the whole problem to begin with. Being terrible, having bad reads, shit at towntelling, or blatantly scumslipping is different than actively griefing or refusing to participate in the game to epicly waste everyone's time.
Please let me do the debating
