I only really did my time in sc2. I realized build orders and input spam aren't for me and the single player version is way too much for my enjoyment
I gave xcom 2 a few tries and it's fun but I hate bad roll and lose. On my switch I can't save scum because the loading is too long

I did make plat playing random only and my input spam has been pretty solid since so I'm happy. Sc2 times at it's apex were so kino

rts games are just so damn stressful if you're trying to get good. i honestly feel more relief than accomplishment when i finish an hour long aoe2 game where you're spamming trash at each other and trying to micro one bombard cannon to kill everything

You really do have to embrace the suck in xcom and learn to appreciate when you get blown away by the bad guys
It is a really bad feeling when you lose dozens of hours of gameplay to shitty luck and one bad decision unless you want to reload. Fortunately the game gets a lot easier later on if you're teched and geared properly
yea it can be until you experience the pain of fibding out what late game goths can do
The strategy element is what i enjoy in rts im not a big micro nerd and macro is just ok outside of smart base layouts which is fun. I remember in sc2 figuring out how to manipulate protoss into going for pheonix/collosus and drowning them in ultras before they can ball up.

Or even better yet youre getting your fc 3tc boom order down and you see that villager pull up and drop a siege workshop on your face right when they hit castle age
