i either play persians and go scouts/knights or byzantines and trash rush LMFAO. watching your spearmen lose to a villager is great as you burn idle time and just shit all over the game
i remember persians being op
archers too hard can't micro i much prefer to just roll my brain across my keyboard with knights and pretend to know what im doing while i run around all the golds
they've been heavily outpaced by the newer civs. their bonuses are good but just not enough to make up lacking bracer/arbalest and being the only civ to not even get two handed swordsmen lol
my game knwoledge very old
they're still really strong on hybrid maps and nomad because their docks can outmass you while being a few villagers ahead out of the tc
