Anyhow ive been playing silent hill f recently and so far its been pretty fun, I wish they had a better "normal" difficulty because the main ones other than extreme is story and hard, and I dont really wanna play the first time on hard but story does seem a bit too easy so I wish there was a better middle ground, but outside of that im really liking the game and ESPESCIALLY the enemy designs, but its pretty hard for a silent hill game to go wrong with their enemy designs

First minor enemy in the game called fog town or something looks really cool I like it alot
The puzzles are the most annoying part. I think I’m on the hardest difficulty or hard? I kinda wanna reset just to make the second puzzle easy. My difficulty randomizes the symbols and I find the can’t-kill monsters super annoying personally

Yeah it really sucks that theres basically not any in between for easy and hard, I just picked story difficulty bc im mostly playing the game for the themes, story, and designs but I do wish there was a bit more of a challenge without rage inducing puzzles and monsters
I love the story and find it to be a breath of fresh air even if it’s a bit…on the nose. Just hate some of the puzzles and some of the combat. Particularly cuz old silent hill was better about both of them in some ways. Rewarded both avoiding and engaging enemies a little better. Had puzzles that were still random xd but had some merit or originality. In fact, all those puzzles had really cool designs just because of the resident evil-esque backgrounds

Dude when I saw the stupid little info thing about her doll (I think your probably past that but I wont be specific just incase) it was a really cool way to describe that feeling and I related to it a lot and havent seen people talk about that specific feeling in media before really

I have not seen it. I meant a lot of the stuff that is atleast near the beginning.
Also r7 does good pause menus and this game is no exception. I love that

Me and matthew have been watching that actually and ive been enjoying it so far
It’s going to get slow around a part of season 2 because the suits @ the network refused to let david lynch do his work of art the way he wanted to do it (Lmao), so it gets kind of… odd, until they begged him to come back and he delivers an amazing season end, then fire walk with me (Must watch after season 2), and then X amount of years later, Twin Peaks: The Return which is one of my favorite pieces of media

Will definitely keep that in mind we just finished season 1 and were taking a bit of a break but thats good to know, I like how weird it is tbh and the writing seems so interesting so far, I also really want to watch the movie he directed Eraserhead it seems super up my alley
You should watch this japanese horror movie called helter skelter, its a really visually gorgeous movie with beautiful colors and lots of really great looking shots I think you could appreciate, its in my top 5 movies of all time, I should find pics of a few shots to send here and show you tbh
Also on the topic of cool architecture I am also a huge fan, im probably one of the most steriotypical doomer atheist kind of people you could ever meet but I'm OBSESSED with church architecture, one time me and matthew went to a book store and there was this fucking beautiful book shaped like a church with a bunch of pictures of pretty church architecture and facts in it and I almost bought it on the spot
