I highly doubt that PayPal uses the same energy that Bitcoin does due to being centralized.
Power argument is a dumb argument
It's literally irrelevant
i think its an easy target when peopel around the world are suffering due to environmental setbacks and hear stuff like the energy used by a single btc tx
its better than the text being huge and shit like red arrows onto circles
real question is who writes those titles
Some guy who earns more than me - probably
I'm not even sure how eth does their development if they have a dedicated team or what, I've completely disavowed eth due to them literally rolling back the blockchain however many years ago it was. I wouldn't even say this is btc maxi logic either I personally view my perspective as someone who believes cryptocurrency fundamentally is meant to be used as a decentralized option for financial systems, if not a full replacement at some point. That's why I only hold monero because it truly is the only current cryptocurrency that strives to become as decentralized as possible and that is apparent with how they develop the coin, and the features that they create with their system. The goal with monero is not and has almost never been to create value for early adopters and the coin developers its been to create a decentralized currency that can be used safely by literally anyone.
any other crypto is just a derivative of some strange goal that has evolved over the past couple years into something that I feel is completely different from what crypto was about or has always been about
I don't believe blockchain can be used to solve every little issue out there and its specifically meant to be used as a trust-less decentralized form of currency
so I will just hold onto my monero and let you guys get rich off of smart contracts or whatever I don't really care
also $150 gas fees can suck my dick
was a bright kid doing basically all the work before or back then, now he does. he's been building a team for some time, and spoke out about it like 2 quarters ago because they weren't as strong as he wanted. now it is apparently lol
you are a monero maximalist in some sense but i dont have any problem with it, it's certainly necessary and their mission is simple and theyre already doing it
i only really have a problem with bitcoin maxis. when it feels like youre parroting points that they or other uninformed people make i get vietnam flashbacks lol
in that regard having a technology that enables Dapps and prizes visibility also feels very vital
some dapps are cool, I like the decentralized exchanges and the system they have there but I do believe its not really living up to its full potential as its full of just scammy little tokens or at least that seems to be what its mainly used for. Again gas fees make it kind of annoying to buy anything and I think NFTs are legit a scam regardless if people make good money off them or not
I think thorchain is going to try and be a decentralized crypto swapping exchange but don't quote me on that I haven't been paying much attention recently
dapp technology is in its infancy (and thus the shit on it) and is the most difficult to develop compared btc or xmr so you'll have to be patient and its understandable if you don't feel like eth is your horse in that race. but there's gonna be some winner there eventually, and if Eth does go PoS by Q2/3, they will
ada dapps in haskell lol
