I don't even see how PoS solves the issue of centralized mining farms at all, seems to just be more of the same shit but I guess they can spin it as less of an energy use thing but I don't even care about that. Monero does have the best solution so far in my opinion as it uses CPU's to mine for the network, and its really not even possible to be very profitable
increased transactability means less expensive contracts means much more development opportunities, market txs and legitimate projects. I don't really care about the mining aspect either but it'll be great when people stfu about eth being expensive
yes that is the intention, anyone can mine with their cpu on the network but its hard to string together 80 cpus and be a significant % of the mining pool, and as Jdance said, its not even really profitable and would take you like a year or two to breakeven

it should, its calculated by ( (base fee + priority fee) x units of gas used) and the gas used is an average transaction right now is 21000. if PoS uses 99.9% less, thats 210 gas
you can imagine it like if you pay 4 bucks to buy a $10 NFT and transfer to your wallet today, in the future that same NFT txs would cost 4/100 of a cent. gas could be even less, but that's a simple way to look at it
like the system will inevitably probably expand and gas would go back up but the total fee would never be 4 bucks again unless the system is being used like a million times more, because it uses 99.9% less energy and enables more than a flat multiplier of 1000x the txs once sharding etc is in
