@_jdance you were right about MSFT stock. tbh i think i was just projecting how sick i am of MS teams and windows. They're the most affordable wide-range solution, have contracts up the ass, azures great and that's all that matters probably. But they're so awful to use it's upsetting

I’m not even sure how much of an influence Steve Jobs actually had at Apple especially towards the end of his life but it’s not a meme that they’ve been getting worse and worse since he died

Yeah we use it all the time and it is frustrating. The snooze thing sucks because even after you join it keeps reminding you until you dismiss it.
The push to talk would be great. I usually mute my mic except when I need to talk. But I once unmuted to talk and forgot to mute after that.
My boss went on a rant about how we might all have to get vaccinated, and how he would quit if that becomes a thing.
I said ,"Oh my God shut the fuck up you stupid Trumptard."
Everyone in our office heard it. Awkward.

It was definitely huge. Two things are for sure, Tim Apple cant fill the hole he left in anything outside of a fiscal responsibility, and that things would prolly be way different if he were still around and up to his shenanigans

lol. there is a push to mute/unmute command if you havent found it, but the binding is terrible, cant be rebound, and doesnt work when youre alt tabbed or even in another MST window.
its even worse when you work in tandem with someone over it regularly as muting and unmuting can start to get real annoying. im regularly telling my cat to leave me alone or other stuff that people def dont need to hear
i have a million complaints about the rest of the suite for sure tho

nothing like the iphone wouldve existed for years if steve job didnt force his drones to make the exact design that he eventually picked (he didn't invent everything about it, but he was still ultimately the editor of the final work)
nobody in the tech world made things stupid simple and clean like him; most engineering types like adding features, not removing them. apple was really the only tech company taking simplicity to an extreme and it was the correct vision to have for trying to mass market tech to non techy people.
he was a total moron and asshole in other ways but the way he forced through his vision was still unique and i dont buy that blackberry or samsung or whatever wouldve come up with anything like the iphone ever
no consumer tech companies are similarly inspiring nowadays and there's just a sense that every phone and computer innovation is kinda unnecessary at this point and we've thought of all the good improvements

that said yeah msft is dominating a lot of b2b and enterprise spaces and apple hasnt really even made a meaningful play for it
also i dont mean to imply that smartphones are good; they are yet another manifestation of satan in this day and age
