the whole kool aid of TA is that its supposedly pattern recognition of consistent patterns that form due to consistently irrational psychology in certain high volume situations

dxy may continue up linearly for years and btc can remain stable for a long time until suddenly it doesnt. it can take months or years for a correction
if the market decides to use bitcoin as a hedge against inflation dxy is completely irrelevant. this seems to be happening. many hedge fund managers are suggesting bitcoin to their clients as a hedge
you cant look at one chart and say it has inverse correlation when the dataset for bitcoin is only 13 years long
especially when market dynamics have changed drastically over the years
