it's astonishing how these meatheads are incapable of responding to any situation no matter what it is or how much information they're provided with beforehand, except to go in guns blazing
there's no hope in training these ■■■■■■■ to how respond to delicate mental health situations
like how do these psychos keep lacing people's bodies up with a dozen+ bullets and then demand that they show their hands?
it's also astonishing how when a cop is too scared to handle a 13 year old without resorting to pumping his guts full of lead, the thought never crosses their mind to do nothing and let someone else step in who is capable of controlling their emotions and not letting fear dictate their decision making
It's even fucking worse: they knew they were going to end up doing it. What the fuck is wrong with them?
"Damn, I really don't want to shoot this kid, but, y'know, it's just what we gotta do when he runs away from us, terrified. Just fill his back with holes"
Oh no, it crossed their minds. They talked about doing just that because they knew they'd shoot this kid. They just went and shot him anyways
it's fucking crazy how these people are good for absolutely nothing except to act as state sponsored hitmen / executioners
sometimes I wonder if they're even aware that they're wearing body cameras or if they just don't care because they've been conditioned to expect to get away with murder regardless
how this kid is not dead is a miracle
I can do dumb shit at my job and get away with it because I fit into the culture and my boss likes me. It's not hard to imagine this concept can be abstracted to any job, especially one where 99% of investigations are internal and another 99% of them find no wrong doing
They probably do stupid shit all the time and get away with it. Confidence builds. Rinse and repeat
You need to understand that their mindset is likely completely foreign to you. When they show up to work they are quite literally showing up to war
No, they just believe that
Not only are they regularly getting away with things, they're getting raises and commendations for great work all the time
Yes that's what I implied
Goddamn this headline is infuriating. Fuck CNN
I disagree with that to some extent.
For nearly a decade now there's been many instances of incriminating footage of these shootings released to the public leading to massive national upheaval. You would think at some point enough of these happen where there's a subsequent mitigating effect collectively on police officer's conduct and they begin to second guess themselves.
But no, inexplicably they just keep blowing people away.
I think that would be a fairly easy thing to be blind to, if not something that might even be even more polarizing for them
somehow i feel like police officers arent typically the type to read the (relevant type of) news enough to have a picture of the frequency of abuse by their kin
or to really care
I would be surprised if much of the police force even knew intricate details of many of those events
but whys utah/arizona got the most egregious shit
that arizona shooting in some dudes house for playing crash bandicoot was the most ridiculous ive ever seen
i don't know, police are pretty organized politically, or at least they are in big cities
you would think that they would be pretty well tuned in to what's going in their greater professional community given the amount of blues live matter shit that is going on these days
I honestly don't think they care. I would say the majority of them go home, watch Fox news, eat a microwave dinner, beat up their wife, and then sleep.
It's very easy to get lost when you've been doing the same shit for 10 years
