News reports things are all better because the riots moved from trying to burn down the federal courthouse to trying to burn down some local police precinct building
Last night local police deployed tear gas for the first time in I think months in response to rioters lighting the building on fire
However news organizations can go take photos outside the federal building and say "Look! As soon as the feds left the chaos subsided, everyone! Justice has won the day!"
I will leave it to the incredibly perceptive, thoughtful readers of this thread to interpret how much of that is intentional strategizing on the part of the rioters vs how much is intentionally misleading from the media.
