fuck the police general

if you dont give a comprehensible answer i can only conclude that you dont have one

The sword outwears the breast. Lol

It's a genuine insular economy

Nice

No, reactionary≠nazi. I'm calling you a reactionary because you're doing the "both sides have bad people" shit to discredit a movement that is fighting for fundamental change to try to make the world more equitable

Lol, yeah, supporting capitalism is definitely gonna help solve inequality. Moderates and libs are totally good people

No you don't understand my argument and are using "ends justify the means" reasoning which is arguably more Nazi than what I've said (not "bad people on both sides" but "X things are wrong and are poisoning positive leftist movements")

Most of these movements start out of a genuine need for positive change and most people will support those changes, but they gradually morph into movements about anarchy, violence, destruction, opposing capitalism

Guess what - the majority of people don't support tearing down capitalism. If you take a movement which could've succeeded in progressive reform, reduced corruption, better oversight etc and make it about anarchy & communism - you have effectively sabotaged the movement and ensured it will accomplish nothing.

Moreover - identity politics are being used as a distraction against real productive changes

I mean, that is how genetics work. She could have the recessive genes, as evidenced by her cousins. You could too

Lol, I'll pull the relevant quotes later

Imagine thinking opposing capitalism isn't a need for positive change

The majority of people didn't support ending slavery for many years. This doesn't mean that slavery was a good institution that shouldn't have been torn down

Guess what: it couldn't succeed. See how the civil rights movement was gutted by structural institutions that are guaranteed by the constitution (SCOTUS). How will you fix that without tearing it down and starting again?

Lmao, how? Examining how identities are constructed in society and used to oppress groups is necessary to analyze what needs to be changed

Progressive movements in the last 20 yrs

OWS - started as a movement to address the issues behind the 2008 recession (perfectly valid and supported by most people) -> usurped by communists and anarchists, ultimately accomplished nothing

Rise of progressivism/Sanders in 2016 -> gave way to "It's Her Turn!" and one of the least progressive/most corrupt dem candidates in recent memory (identity politics as a replacement for progressive policy)

Progressives in 2020, Liz Warren -> movement falls apart with her calling Sanders a sexist, endorsing Sleazy Joe. Joe puts on his ticket a woman who is the antithesis of police reform, anti-corruption - but she's black and a woman. Is this progressivism?

BLM -> focus has shifted to a bunch of violent anarchists (mostly white) in Portland trying to burn down buildings and pissing off people in the suburbs; looting and destruction over a fake rumor in chicago. What could've been an effective movement is now losing support in the mainstream because policy proposals shifted from "better police training and oversight" to "Make Dad give me my Nintendo Switch back, I don't want to take out the garbage"

Meanwhile a bunch of ■■■■■■■ calling themselves the tea party were able to capture a major portion of Congress for several years. What's wrong with lefties that they can't get even perfectly reasonable, widely supported policy proposals through? It's that they're sabotaged from the inside - not by undercover white supremacists or COINTELPRO, but by real people like our very own Ewhizzer here.

thjis is irrelevant i am not autistic and my kids will not be

In short - communists and anarchists are not your friend, identity politics are not your friend, they are ensuring the continued failure of progressive change in the US

its actually incredibly offensive calling me bipolar knowing full well im autistic

Over the past several years, I must say, I have been gravely disappointed with such white “moderates.” I am often inclined to think that they are more of a stumbling block to the Negro’s progress than the White Citizen’s Counciler [sic] or the Ku Klux Klanner.

You're presenting the quote as a criticism of what I said but it misses the point

The quote is criticizing people who said "Now is not the time" when faced with the need for progressive change

I am saying Now is the time for progressive change, but that progressive change is co-opted by people who don't want progressive change, they want to burn everything down.

They'll definitely be racist though

nobody ever tries to convince anyone in politics its all just preaching to the choir :pensive:

also commies are scary where do unironic communists even come from :pensive:
