fuck the police general

how can you just say that? justify it. i am paid proportional to company productivity but my marginal work barely affects company productivity so my paycheck is identical either way.

i guess we can try to reorganize society into tiny companies of just a few people but this is not necessarily efficient for all things. and some companies will be more productive than others and that would be inequitable.

this is the mainline criticism of communism which is when you pay everyone the same amount no matter how much stuff they produce they wont work as hard. and u can go by hours too and they will slack off.

you can pay them by the number of factory objects they process per day but some people are better at factory work than others and that would be inequitable.

and then someone would bring a revolutionary new tool to work one day to process factory objects twice as fast and they get paid twice as much. then thats inequitable so we seize the tool since its a means of production and now nobody invents revolutionary new tools anymore.

you can also define "people who would slack off if their paycheck didnt appreciably change depending on how hard they work" as bad people but i think most people are bad people.

I think we are missing the core of the discussion though which is some line of questions like this for @electrowizard

  1. What is the series of actions people who agree with you should take in order to reach your new vision of society?

  2. How do we identify the people who are capitalists and are profiting off the labor of the working class? Can we give them some sort of identifier so they are recognizable?

  3. What should be done with the people who simply don't fit in this new world? People who want to own businesses, accrue personal wealth, compete with other businesses, pass on accrued wealth to their kids. Because this is the majority of Americans.

Eg. start with burning down houses and looting businesses.. then.. ? Not propose any new laws as that would be using the broken legal system.

Also leads into question 2 of how the appropriate houses and businesses to destroy are identified.. and what happens when someone resists.

jonas salk saved capitalism

violent revolution will not occur in the united states. it just cant happen. the police and military will win a war against civilians. you cannot march on the white house and lynch the president because they can just keep gunning people down indefinitely.

you need to get the police and military on your side; essentially, a coup. but i fail to see how this will lead to a more equitable system than our (imperfect) democracy. it is indeed a very pertinent question how to transition here to the communist system. do we have to literally put ewiz the dictator in charge and trust him to do it? why can we trust him moreso than stalin or mao?

what is more realistic is violence and civil unrest to the point that the System is forced to self-correct to avoid unacceptable destruction of value, by passing new laws or whatever. this might even be desirable, depending on who you are. but this does not overthrow the System. the entire point of the self-correction is to avoid being overthrown. people are more dedicated to order than to justice.

btw @electrowizard as long as my LLC employs only myself, it doesnt need to be seized because its not employing any workers? even if it accrues a lot of wealth? even if its a massive internet company? even if its a massive completely automated factory? even if it outcompeted all the factories employing humans and drove them out of business thus reducing the price of labor?

i feel like the marxist model of labor is kind of outdated.

I don't need to justify it: that's the literal definition of the tragedy of the commons

Lmao if you're paying people, you're still not a communist society, dumbfuck. I was pointing out how capitalism is inequitable and how it will always be so because of shit like this

I already said it would be seized, dumbfuck

That's because you haven't read shit. Marx wrote at length about automation and was proven right

They already self-identify through their ownership. You're not gonna bait a "gotcha" you fucking moron. I've already answered all of these questions

So is capatalisn good or not
