Lol you don't know what you're talking about. I worked as a volunteer for a small record distro, and I can tell you they were efficient as hell when I'd bring in 500 packages to mail
You clearly do not know game theory lmao.
Holey fucc it's not the tragedy of the commons if there's no fucking scarcity you absolute dumbass. The unemployment rate (not just during the pandemic) makes it clear that labor isn't scarce
it doesnt matter to me that you dont believe i know game theory. can you respond to the point? why is slacking off not a nash equilibrium? what motivates someone to work hard when everyone else is slacking? what motivates someone to not slack when everyone is working hard?
if you cant reapply the commons game in a different perspective i would question your understanding of game theory. do you want me to make up the numbers?
I can't explain when I can't correct what you misunderstand lmao
okay. forget about the mathematical model.
what motivates someone to work hard when everyone else is slacking? what motivates someone to not slack off when everyone else is working hard?
yeah i mean idk i just skimmed the nash equilbrium wiki page and this such an obvious misapplication of it when you couldve stated your point without trying to sound fancy
Tragedy of the commons isn't a game theoretic concept lmao. When you apply game theory to it, it's not even necessarily true that the tragedy is a Nash equilibrium without strong assumptions that don't fit the real world
Mutual Aid. As in the concept as detailed in the book, which contains plenty of the empirical evidence that gets you so hard
stop overgeneralizing concepts with very specific definitions and youll stop getting sidetracked with ppl caught up on this shit
you couldve posted
this stuff without ever bringing nash equilibrium or tragedy of the commons into the picture
just some pseud habit bullshit
a nash equilbrium is when everyone is doing something and its stable, in the sense that nobody has an incentive to change what they are doing.
i claim when everyone gets the same paycheck as a fraction of total productivity, everyone slacking is a nash equilibrium, because nobody has an incentive to work harder when their paycheck will change very little. everyone working hard is not a nash equilibrium, because everyone has an incentive to slack when their paycheck will change very little.
It's cause he already posted that, I gave him the reasons why, and he couldn't answer them so he made some dumb shit up about game theory
no just stop using nash equilibrium in this context you look dumb to anybody who's actually studied this shit
iaafr you are being confused by ewiz i am very certain this is a fair application of the idea.
lmfao
i have studied it though.
self studied to the point that satisfies your own sensibilities?
you know you have a habit of thinking you fully grasp academic concepts without actually doing so right
Lmao this is why the tragedy of the commons isn't a Nash equilibrium, dumbass
Lmao please, I'll ask for the math now. You clearly don't understand this shit
