I turned on my bot on Monday at the start of WW3, and the bot tried to sell hard and short the jump, but it got ripped, after I turned it back on, I am somewhat proud to see the bot is adamantly staying away from trading. It's probability threadholds for predicting either up or down are both sub 50 percent despite how insane the volatility is, so it is either defective, or 300 IQ logic programmed into it to determine that the best thing to do in this market is not play because it has little confidence in picking any direction.
On one side, you suck bot for not making me money, but on the other, I'm proud of you for having the guts to say you don't know what the New Jersey you are doing and standing by to not blow anything up. Good work doggy.

Good bot.
OIL opens above 110 today. Shit was in the 50s about 2 weeks ago. If I knew Trump was going to bomb Iran, I would have easily become a millionaire. Actually knowing myself I would have weak handed and sold when the initial spike happened from 65-72, then raged as I watched it rise up to the 80s, 90s, then say it's gonna go back down, short it, then wake up today and witness all of my gains gone, deep in the red, lose my balls, and then close out only for it to drop back down to 70, but if I held then it would rip above 150 and make me want to become an hero.
The bot is doing better and better, gotta say I am less impressed with myself so much as I am impressed with the AI. Absolute fucking cinema in terms of design choices and coding. I'd be stuck in code hell just fixing bugs trying to get my backtesting data points aligned with my predictions, but this tool just plowed through fucking everything in a matter of a few minutes/hours.
I will continue to monitor, test, and tune out bugs as I see them, but so far so good.. Some of the bugs it has like cooldown between trades when winning might actually be worth testing out which I plan to do. I'm not trying to get hyped.... Don't wanna get hyped and then crash out when things don't work.
Div what do you think about pivoting to quantitative just to make more money than this guy
Damn, I literally just needed to tell it what I want to do, what tests to run, and provide me with the results and it just does it. Writes up the tests, runs them, just phenomenal
If you're smart enough/fast enough of a thinker to pass the onboard interviews for Akuna then go for it, apply for all the quant places. They will work your ass off, but you will be doing very cool stuff and probably enjoying the work too.
Like they gave me 4 min to answer this question but you can't use a calculator, only a keyboard/notepad or pen/paper, time yourself if you want. If you can actually do this within 3-4 minutes then you have a shot to work at a trading desk.
I finished the options 101 and options 201 course for Akuna after passing 2 of their interviews for coding and math, I obviously didn't get selected to proceed with the quizzes because I didn't do that well mostly due to time issues giving only 30 seconds to answer some questions which takes me like 20 seconds alone to read, but that's by design to filter out people who would just get fired if they got brought on anyway.
you earnestly can't solve each of those in less than a minute? the middle two can just be manipulated into multiplying by a ten this is uhhh, trivial compared to shit i had to do on college exams without a calculator

If you can do this in under a minute you have a shot at working at a trading desk

Thankfully I can solve the first three in less than a minute, so I can crawl through that beast of an equation carefully.
I get pretty far into solving that equation but i have no idea how to handle those parantheticals
It's okay king you're still moving with power

In other news I had a really bad case of revenge bedtime procrastination last night.
If you guys really solved that in sub-3 min like you claim without using outside help and aren't trolling, then you should legit go apply for a fintech firm if you like trading and you can become a millionaire doing something you find fun/interesting.
How would I be trolling it’s basic arithmetic and three of them can be turned into working with tens lmao

Completely trivial exercise compared to 100% of the coding tests I’ve taken
