It's harder than it sounds. I tried to go to Asia and getting a visa / finding a stable living situation is hard if you're not retirement age. Like if you're young and still hoping to work or have a business you cannot easily operate legally and will be skirting legal lines and tax loopholes which opens you up to getting fucked.

I have a Thailand DTV and it only let's you stay in Thailand for 6 months, also Taiwan gold card visa which let's me stay for 2 years but I got all of those when I still had a remote job, so I recognize if I don't have a job after my visa expires I'm basically stuck I limbo.

But if you can figure out the visa situation or marry then I think it isn't a bad idea... But you should definitely live somewhere first for at least a month or 2 before you decide to move there. I did that and that's why I finally decided I need to move back to the USA but I might be back in the future... Just not time right now. But glad I tried it. I encourage everyone to take more risks and try more things out.

Havent you seen the white lotus? You can just move there if you are rich

I think people are waking up, that's why I think it's a good time to short. I thought it was overpriced before it did a split, but I never dared short it because I liked Elon and he had hype but now everyone hates him and I think hype was a lot of the value in tesla so I think it will be on a downtrend, I also think the entire market is going to be on a downtrend, that's why I moved a lot to cash to lose investing in 0 DTE options.

Idk if any of you have driven in the BYD cars but people had them in Thailand and they're really nice cars. Lol not really relevant to anything I'm discussing but I'm just recalling it now.

I'd buy the stock but I think they're pretty fairly priced at 150b market cap so thinking... Maybe though.

I'm so glad I got like 60% of my stock money in xiaomi and Ali baba, they aren't even budging on these days the markets are red. I'm moving more money into European defense companies too. Since nato is ditching.

Elon has completely erased his market share in china, everyone in europe hates him, and half of the us hates him

Tesla is on a predestined path to 0 over a moderate time horizon

(10-20 years)

I also think with the market being so choppy, a lot of retail investors are gonna start moving out of stock because a lot of boomers are getting scared and are finally retiring too so it's going to be a compounding effect... The interest rates, tarrifs, people retiring and being risk averse due to volatility, and overall shitty geopolitical situation raising cost of living globally.

Nah, I think they will be fine. Huge company with a ton of assets, definitely won't be worthless but the market cap should be brought down to something more realistic. Like having over 1 trillion market cap for tesla was so dumb but it still kept going higher and higher lol.

I think the market cap of tesla should be something like 50 billion but I think it can settle around 150-200 billion in the next 3 years if Elon stays associated with the company :joy:

I remember before the model S came out, tesla stock was worth more than Ford, a company that was actually producing cars lol.

Tesla going to 50-200b market cap is equivalent to going to 0 in my head

Not quite zero. He'll get pushed out eventually. But when?

The problem with being right about the collapse of a stock is that you have to short

The problem with shorting is you have to be correct about the time

The moral of the story is that it is impossible

Did you read that entire article?

The article is an excerpt from one of his books that i have read

America has a lot of debt but we also live in an electronic age where the government can easily just bring liquidity into the market and stabilize asset prices as we've seen them do time and time again so maybe this time will be different and there will be no collapse..

I agree that shorting is a terrible idea, at least it was over the last 15 years but we have now left the age of free and easy money so you must adapt with the times and update your axioms.
