dutch housing laws are so dumb. even if ur contract expires as per the agreed date and ur planning to leave u still have to inform your landlord at least 1 month in advance that you're leaving. my roomate thought "he didnt inform landlord he wants to stay = its obv hes gonna leave" so he informed him 1 week before it expired but nope now hes not finna give him back his deposit of 800 euros and they might sue each other or idk. are american laws the same?
i guess its not that dumb but the landlord should have asked my roommate / warned him about this month. dumb fucking jew. (he's actually jewish)
