i dont think you need a Numpad to play fortress mode - do you?
You can rebind shit and theres a bunch of Df afddons for casuals who want to get into the game before giving a shit about how fucking awful the ux is

it is asking me to scroll through the menus using numpad keys so i am unable to navigate the menu i will look into rebinding the keys
But super worth it I thibk itâs near impossible to have a game they complex with perfect ux design
God dwarf fortress is so inspiring ad a game dev the developer is a fucking legend

I managed to learn the entire game on my own while my internet was down for a week - itâs not hard if you actually try to learn it and read the help menus or whatever.
doesnât it scroll with + and -? those arenât numpad keys just press shift+=
i have fixed it by rebinding the scroll menu keys to the arrow keys so it is ok

Autohotkey and Cheat engine.
I havenât played DF in years but still put on The Song (the game has two songs - but you know which one I mean, the other one is still just as good though) every once in a while. Very beautiful game.

Celeste and Transistor have really really good soundtracks. canât name more off the top of my head but those are the two I liked enough to download (along with the DF songs).
