I think what I miss is the days when video games were just for fun.
What we have today in the world of "adults playing video games" is a lot of people who have sublimated the desire to have a job, to do something productive with their lives, into Ranked Matchmaking Video games.
And then you get people who treat it like a job and you have to learn certain skills, play certain ways, get reported to Compliance/HR for saying the n-word when you lose.
At that point you should just get a job. It's just sad
