No. Exagerrating a story and thereby defaming with opportunistic undertones is bad. But it is not bad because it is opportunistic. It's bad because it is exaggerating a story and defaming someone.
The same way these "opportunistic" looters at the BLM riots aren't bad because they're opportunistic, they're bad because they're fucking looting.

It's strange to me...the idea that women can acknowledge they consented to sex, then after the fact, be able to change their mind and withdraw consent, and label the man a rapist.
It's strange to me...the idea that a man is not even allowed to change his mind about whether or not he wants to be in a relationship, without being labeled a rapist. Perhaps he changed his mind and realized they weren't a good fit after having spent more time together, and decided to end things.
It's a douche move and extremely immature to ghost someone, but it is incredibly damaging to think this is in anyway comparable to people that have actually gone through shit.

A lot of this fallout could be avoided if people talked to each other and established some sense of closure instead of acting like children and running away from their responsibilities.

Okay, I'll give you that. A simple, "Hey, this isn't working out. I'm sorry but I think we should stop seeing each other" takes less than a minute and gives the other person closure so they can move on with their life. It's cowardly behavior to say nothing, but it seems a bit extreme to have someone painted in a certain light that could imply they are a rapist, just because they decided to stop communicating with you.
