The people before you have allowed you to be, that is why you should be proud of them.
I think that accusing somebody you specifically know of cp is equally bad as generalizing hate across a race of nonspecific people
He admitted it
Jews rock idk what you guys are talking about. They can’t get enough of this gentile giant (even though my fam probably converted to catholicism in the 1600s)
Please give us a warning before you post if you’re Jewish or not especially in response to a refpsi post. It will really clear things up. Seems like the people relying on blatant insults and calls for banning refpsi are the jew posters
I think it’s important to know who genuinely believes me and refpsi are wrong and who is a cunning jew/brainwashed by the jew
LMAO
Tom brokaw is in trouble because he said Hispanics should make sure their children learn English are you fucking serious
Wtf is wrong with you retards people should learn English to live in America
People shouldnt be forced to because its too late for a lot of them but parents should want their kids to speak English well to have the same opportunities as everyone else
It’s kind of interesting how there is a difference of opinion on this
Some first and second generation immigrants view English as the language of opportunity - they want their children to be very capable with English because they see it as essential to their career success and shit
Then others will take almost a complete opposite approach - they think their kids will learn English naturally over time and emphasize their native tongue as a sort of defense/ preservation of their native culture
Sadly I think it’s mostly divided along class lines. And the effects are very visible. The second category end up with clear disadvantages, stay poor longer, form insular communities etc
On the bright side that’s how you get shit like koreatown and now america has tons of great food
it’s pretty rare to find immigrants whose kids suck at English in any case, I think?
it’s usually the immigrants themselves who’re the issues
Nobody wants to live in america anyway.
You’re talking about 1st vs 2nd gen
I’d still argue the kids are at significant disadvantage in insular communities
Of course that’s just opinion without data behind it
But so much of whether you’re “smart” in grade school is just whether you’re a little bit ahead or behind your peers in these areas
fun fact 1st Gen doesn’t have a consensus definition because ppl use it both ways
pokemon?
Yeah I actually realized midway through that discussion that the person I was thinking of when you said “children of immigrants” is actually first gen herself and probably better qualifies as immigrant
But the different attitudes are really clear
