psychedelics are interesting and make you temporarily believe funny things and have particular profound-seeming cosmic thoughts
drugs aren’t the proof, as nmagane says, but the psychedelics certainly shove you towards thinking about existence in such a way as to question materialism and contemplate the phenomenon of consciousness
lsd/shrooms/dmt are all interesting experiences, more interesting than weed by quite a margin imo
i think part of what they do to the brain is overactivate whatever process leads to the feeling of realization, so everything seems profound and you tend to think in ways that seem profound
a lot of it’s delusional, but a lot is legitimately interesting. or what even is legitimate, when it comes to the more subjective and artistic parts of perception?

I’ve never met a single person in my life that did psychedelics regularly (or spoke about them as if they were profound) that wasn’t a complete child and both emotionally and mentally immature and completely unable to take responsibility for their actions.

there’s a bit of truth in saying they’re irresponsible because having your head in the clouds does tend to mean that you are not focusing on like some vocational aspect but my personal rebuttal would be that Maybe people inflate the importance of status, money etc for the sake of winning rhe rat race. Also a little anecdotal but closeminded people who refuse to even humor the idea of changing how they think tend to be very emotionally immature and incredibly selfish from my experiences

idk makes total sense to me that ppl like yns and jdance think the way they do they never got to feel like it was safe or remotely sustainable to fuck around with drugs so it’s more black and white self destructive for them
