Israel is a JEWISH state and openly promotes this idea in their government documents and through other official statements. They are a state specifically for the benefit of the jewish people. If you allow arabs, who have a higher birthrate than native jews to live in israel, they will eventually change the countries demographics until it is not a jewish majority state and arabs will be able to obtain political control over jews through democracy.

There is no single state solution that results in the continuance of the JEWISH state past 50-100 years. The Jews know it and the Arabs know it, the Arabs have more children than Jews, if you allowed the single state solution, allowed the 700,000 Palestinians to return, the Jewish people would become a minority probably within a generation or two, the Arabs would vote themselves in and it would become a Muslim majority state once again, which would have 0 concern for the Jewish population as Muslims are as anti-semitic as literal Nazis
You come up with a solution for the furtherance of the JEWISH state of Israel and that also allows Palestinians to live in that Jewish state in large numbers along without risking Jewish control over Israel and you’ll have the answer to this issue
Why does it need to be a Jewish state? There aren’t any countries that assert one citizen over the other. And if they publicly state that (like Poland) the reality is still that they need the workers and benefits immigration provides
