Nah. I don't care for seafood. Tried to get used to it but it was more trouble than it's worth. It makes me yack every time.

Here is a sign in a school that says Americans drink Coca Cola when we catch a cold because of the carbonation and caffeine. Never heard this in my life. Maybe fizzy citrus drinks for un upset stomach but coca cola for a cold? lol
Keep in mind that when you see social media content about Japan telling you the kookie Japan facts that you are believing it as easy as someone believed this

My grandma used to have us drink flat coke(or coke syrup) when sick idk, and I've heard talk of ginger ale for upset stomachs.
I think it also has to do with the fact that the drink was supposed to be medicinal originally and they got those two truths mixed up and made a false.

Yeah you kinda nailed it, was a folk remedy late 1800s i looked into it a lil. Ginger good for stomach aches but ginger ales in general don't have enough ginger lol. Basically we are all consumer brainwashed, pedialyte and avoid sugary/caffeinated drinks when sick/upset stomach.
