I will concede to them the current form without a lot of parametric options with adjustable settings can be an annoying amount of friction even if they generally sound good
Huh didnt know people didnt like it. I tried it in plugin form and it sounded great as a plugin.
I think they assume that cheaper hardware will give the same results as the more expensive higher DSP units just because this software exists but you still get what you pay for when it comes to the hardware I think.
My read was a lot of angry old men that can barely use their computers

Like I play through a QC and my effects setup is really obnoxious. Loading two NAM captures and all that would never happen on these cheaper units.
But I will also concede that a big reason people like and feel confident in the premium units is artist endorsements and we love larping as our heroes.
At the end of the day, if you arent playing through a power amp and cab, you are choosing function over fun and experience. That will never change.
I hope Neural DSP gets to parametric captures eventually. I think they gotta be trying for that now at least.
Forgot I picked these up at the music store so I wasnt a buy-nothing bum.
These PG Ibanez picks are the best if you have grip issues.

Ironically those are not the ones with grip tape on them. The plastic is just naturally super grippy.
Back at the train station for another bullet train ride home.
Pro tip: if you are in the slower part of Japan, non reserved seating cheaper tickets are better on the bullet train. The cars are mostly empty and the chairs are more simple with moveable arm rests so you can get extra comfy.
