LOTR The Rings of Power

Ep 7 of rings of power was actually good. I enjoyed.

Now the problem is there is 1 episode left in the season and there is 0 chance any of the mystery or conflict of this season will be resolved. They're just doing a full-on "tune in next season!"

Like what could they possibly wrap up? Adar dies? Isildur will probably be reintroduced alive. Maybe queen returns to Numenor and the tone of second season is set up (reluctant to leave the island, advisor guy takes control). Mithril subplot is wrapped in some way (I am assuming old king dies and son takes control). But seems like the action is winding down and they don't have time to do anything major with 1 episode left.

No. The entire show is actually bad

I enjoyed it.

I think the critiques of the internet ("there are black people" "they badly presented isolationist political thought") were mostly overblown and the actual flaws of the series were the writing/dialogue was just bad sometimes, especially around Galadriel; they liked to do stunt work for battles that was at times ridiculous and apparently seriously hurt several stunt actors (again especially around Galadriel); some interactions/plot arcs were just downright boring (galadriel/halbrand; bronwyn in general)

They missed a big opportunity to make their version of the Red Wedding (they're trying to knockoff GoT) by actually killing off Bronwyn in the cataclysm. Obv isildur cannot die off because he is a central character of the 2nd age but they want to establish a willingness to kill main characters so that the stakes are real. Total failure, this black elf-white woman relationship has insane plot armor which is totally unfulfilling because they aren't actually doing anything, the characters aren't developing or even interesting in any way - they are essentially exposition devices who are there to witness the creation of Mordor and then presumably had to stay alive so in the final episode we can follow them to see what happens to the people of the Southlands.

One thing which they could wrap up at the last minute is the Harfoot/Stranger plot. Some have suggested this will also be tied to the reveal of Sauron - a remaining open thread of the series. But I think it will work better if Stranger is not Sauron, Halbrand is Sauron and he integrates with the elves next season while slowly becoming revealed to the audience but remaining unknown to Galadriel. Would be funny though if "two sauron theory" (Adar "split sauron in two" meaning actually two characters in the show are halves of sauron) works out and the Gemini thing was not a blue wizard ref but a "second half of sauron" reference.

I think the shows writing is dogshit. Galandariel is a boring as fuck character. The actress is shit and has no range of emotions. The harfoots are dogshit characters with dogshit actors playing them, who look like furries in real life

The elves dont look like elves. All the characters are fucking stupid. Cgi beasts is bad. Action scenes are bad

Ill just keep watching Lost, thanks

I like galardiel because she looks like someone I had a crush on in dancing

She was also terrible at having conversations so it fits the character

Okay so you have a bias that affects your liking of the show. Unbelievable

I agree, it would be great if they showed the real brutalities of war given that they have decided to portray women characters as front-line fighters. As it is they are completely unwilling to make the orcs as base and brutal as would be appropriate in a realistic orc situation, so it is very easy to come to the conclusion that the orcs are actually the good guys.
