This happens when you see the card for the first time and first time only in Marvel Snap, it's efficient and respects the player's memory.
After playing for 2 games no player reads card text anymore, card text is carryover from physical games like MTG - Marvel snap embraces the digital future.
All card games must be designed not for the player but for the stream viewer as the primary audience or be dead on arrival. It's been this way ever since HS brought card games to the mainstream
Half the area highlighted here is room for more cards to be played in.

Can you tell what these cards are now that I crossed out their names? I cannot.
The information hierarchy is all fucked up. The most important fact about a card, now that it's on board, is its power, but this is the smallest detail on the UI. The art, the largest detail on the UI, is too messy so the cards aren't identifiable. The names are on the card in big letters along the bottom (not contrasty enough to actually read), but this should be the least important info about the card. Look how in HS the card name doesn't even appear. If I don't need to see card description after seeing it once I definitely don't need to see its name - yet here I see it All the time, even after it's played on board. Why? Probably because marvel created their whole game to drill these various IPs into players' heads. It's all advance stealth marketing for the Squirrel Girl Cinematic Universe. Maybe if we're lucky the movie will explain what the card does in this game.
Actually the little animation/shine around the card's power makes it harder to read the number. it's not contrasty enough

Getting a projector to stream Lifecoach Marvel Snap on the ceiling above my bed so I can read the card attack values while I fall asleep (still can't read the descriptions because they aren't shown on the card)
