Is this Jones anymore
This is simply not true and klaze is an easy example of it. So is asoul. They had some streaks where they were killed n1 multiple games in a row. Not because they were inactive or didn’t contribute.
"Lynch points" and "read points" are definitively a bad idea. Setting yourself up for a possible mislynch or not revealing your whole hand is often done in the first days. I've more than once marked a scumread as town in an attempt to not get NKed by the person I scumread
it might be but i still think faz has a half decent point here and while his system is flawed we should look into making people Try To Not Fuck Up. When he was talkin to me about how town players are too carefree about who they put their lynch on d1 and its fucking annoying and isn't Good Play i felt like he was onto something
same with how its in scums interest not to be active but games like those are ass so rewarding active scum wins is significant or something
Unless you have a jury of some sort to judge players afterwards (which isn't going to work as everyone here is only out to tooth their own horn), strictly counting wins and losses is the only way to go
With 14 players I'd like to do Charge Me Up!
im not sure how you think this negates what im saying.
the points system is supposed to give the better player the most points. shitty players can just sheep all game and be dog shit in everyother way but then end up getting a bunch of points.
meanwhile the player who played very well, lead dtown correctly, but only lived a day gets half those points or even a quarter.
wins = 1 point.
mislynching = -0.3 points.
correct lynching = 0 points
so you can win a game and get very little points if any.
however living isn't the best way to gain points.
Incentivizing a certain playstyle instead of strictly playing to win is not good
what play style does that push? lynching correctly? i agree we have a lot of people who just dont care who they lynch.
I don't think that's the case. I think most players (except the afk'ers) care about who they lynch, but they're still not sure who to believe
but what negative does it bring?
Which is understandable because in some games people post nothing but trash, it's understandable that people get confused and even post "idc lynch x", I can almost guarantee it's not because they don't care
i hjonestly dont give a fuck if we have a point system or not, but it seems others want it so im just adding input what i think would be better.
def don't want points for correct lynches as that just rewards people who live longer. good players typically die earlier so
that's really funny: this concept of "good players" dying earlier
good town player: does good town things
mafia: wow we should get rid of the player who is making good posts and telling town we're both mafia.
how's that funny concept jones?
