They're mostly good movies but it's light on the classics. Watch bergman, Kurosawa, Ford, Huston and reassess

yeah I was going to say I’ve only seen one Kurosawa movie, no studio Ghibli movies, no maltese falcon, no Casablanca, lots of stuff I need to see
ghibli is extremely overrated but still worth watching ig

I generally think movies from 1970 onwards are just better in general, but there are some older movies I really enjoy
I find a lot of them kinda hokey and with way too much music
dont watch animated movies theyre for kids
I really liked The Bridge on the River Kwai
