I think if you made it to the end of the first episode you have enough to understand the series fully. Probably if you gave it another attempt you'd make it like halfway through the season and give up.
It's just interesting I guess - I thought it was brilliant (& very clear what they were doing, if subtle) but for some people it probably just doesn't resonate. Interesting
idk i went in not expecting anything and it turned out pretty entertaining. their was a copious amount of fan service though so chortling with the boys certainly helped it for me. the action scenes had solid choreography, the acting was mostly decent, the story was whatever, the setting and costume design was good. it was just a decent movie which if you had seen it's predecessors is a huge step forward lol
it's a pretty light hearted movie that doesn't take itself too seriously which is fine because that mimics most of the time spent playing dnd. it would be nice if they managed to have a little more gravity at certain points but i'm just pleased it was actually watchable and not a total cringe fest
In summary - if you made it "5 minutes in episode 1" and didn't like it you didn't see enough to understand the show
if you made it to end of episode 1 and didn't like it, you did see enough to understand the show
I liked it from the end of episode 1 and also thought it got better later. For someone who is line 2 above and also can't seem to read 2 sentences in to any post in the thread (and whose name rhymes with BrazyBat) it will probably not get better
