idk if you've seen Bloodline but it's a Netflix show where he actually gets a ton of screen time and is a main character (unlike almost everything else he's in)
it's not perfect but it's entertaining as hell

Barbie movie actually was not bad. People were right that the script is very different and it makes a huge difference

No but i probably would've enjoyed that since the movie drags for a minute here and there
right on, i think it looks pretty entertaining, prolly watch it when it hits streaming
very unfortunate as the movie had me hopeful for future mattel bullshit but it probably won't be as good
it was kind of confusing to me it seemed like everyone was having a good time when the ken's were around and then the movie just tries to tell you no it was bad? is it an ironic commentary or just really bad writing?

you mean the last third? It's supposed to be bad because barbieland is a bastion for matriarchal society and the implication is that the kens are going to ruin it just like they ruined the real world for women
Yeah thats the one thing i really didn't like besides some of the exec BS. It was all an asspull. thats one aspect i wish they didn't incorporate

idk the ken takeover looked more like liberators than oppressors. they were all just drinking and shooting the shit. one of the barbies even comments how it's nice to not be in charge all the time then the movie tells you no this is bad barbies need to dominate the kens?
i honestly couldn't tell if it was layered irony or just really braindead over the top symbolism
it is ironic as the feminist society is as fake and "plastic" as the male society and one of the conclusions youre supposed to come away with is that people are supposed to be themselves regardless of their sex
