Maybe I’m wrong but a materialist understandings of the world doesn’t really fit with “big man theory” or anything like that. You’re not special and if you don’t kill the booj someone else will since the contradictions of capitalism eventually force the proles and their oppressors into open conflict

i feel like apathy is the correct position with respect to a lot of political stuff unless youre actually willing to fully commit to some particular thing you care about with time and resources

I do agree to an extent with this because I believe all the important elections are pre-decided.
Gonna switch subjects but this reminded me that Marx did say capitalism was superior to previous forms of societal organization. He also said the bourgeoise lead revolutions of the 18th century were nice and good. Ppl usually ignore this
