That is largely true but I think there have been a few elections in the past few years that show the systems that attempt to predetermine elections arent perfect
That’s what they want you to think haha
yeah they got me
Add me on Steam for HoMM 3
I bought a new computer a month ago. First computer in years. I still havent turned it on.
yeah I think this is pretty true. we might disagree on how much time and resources, but just having an opinion doesnt really do anything. it is just an interest and timekiller.
I only say disagree on the resources and time because I participated in some action to prevent my city from taxing certain areas full of the elderly for bullshit, and I want to feel better about myself. I guess I am sunken.
Sometimes you just wanna go and yell at people for doing dumb shit, nothing wrong w that until you let it consume your being
Spooky article
considering what they fund ends up being 1st world life extension, never anything useful to solve actual crises, go fucking figure
Even under communism and Marxism these things will happen since humans are, by nature, selfish intrinsically.
At least with capitalism innovation is usually the key component of progression. I don’t agree with communism because I don’t think it would work on a fundemental lèvel but I don’t think capitalism the answer either.
some human beings are selfish intrinsically. i’m sorry thats your worldview. but the argument that comes next, humanity, selfishness, blah blah i’m completely uninterested in so idk where to go with this
That’s just life humans are egotistical by nature and that’s not a bad thing lmao.
I’m just saying from a Marxist’s standpoint communism could never work and will never work because humans fight all the time: conflict is in our nature, cultures fight, and differences between u and me will always make one of us look unequal and that’s why communism won’t work.
I’m not sure why you think an appeal to nature is a valid argument considering humans are pretty good at finding so called “unnatural” ways of fucking things up and/or fixing things. Consider that a 3,000 mile strip of asphalt that holds a large part of our economy cradled in its slender fingers. Or the technology connecting the machines in front of us together, or the process keeping said machine powered, or the vaccines that have prevented us from being ill. So on and so fourth.
Also saying something as reductionist as “it is in human nature to fight” is inherently anti-Marxist, as a Marxist would consider the material conditions a human is brought up around have a profound impact on said humans world view. We all grow up under the selfish, over-consuming & Jingoist/Xenophobic mechanism of Capitalism and thus we have higher chances of reflecting these qualities ourselves.
ah i’ve missed you prb. nice prof pic btw
natural law moral philosophy is literally retarded and i can craft a sound criticism for practically any maxim youd take from it
we need to end capitalism gg gl further
idk what came first the selfish person or the selfish system. But I do know we should probably try something else, and that something should probably be bottom up.
Look, you try to touch my money, I can buy an entire private fucking army. That what you want to see happen? That how you want this to go?
Lol true! lool
