if you think you'll enjoy swords and sorcery more watch GoT, if you think you'll enjoy a beautiful tapestry of a crime family in the late 90s/Early-Mid 2000s with great writing, character development, more subtle (although it has a lot of wiseguy talk and gangster shit, it's really all about the characters and their development and relationships)

GoT has wonderful characters as well they just botch it at the end, and it's not quite as much the focus of the show because of so much massive real world events happening constantly, extinction level threat looming, etc.
There are so many funny moments where they make fun of gen z shit in this show

There's something genuinely so sad about this thread and I can't put my finger on why. Not trying to make some inflammatory comment to stir shit, I just have always associated people that talk about sport as having failed dreams and ambitions themselves and talking about the achievements of others serves as both a coping mechanism and a reminder of their own unactualized character.
when you say my post "came off funny / vaguely condescending (not like actively condescending but like 'assuming others are dumb passively' condescending)" you could alternatively just say: your post came off like an asoul post
it's quicker and I think everyone will intuitively know what it means
